Leverage Your Google Business Profile to Enhance Online Presence

By: Whitney Olsen, Product Lead, Campaign Sherpa

During uncertain times, being able to quickly and easily update your Google Business profile allows you to provide valuable information to your customers – and now Google has made it easier than ever.

What is A Google Business Profile and Listing?

A Google Business Listing appears on the results page when a potential customer performs a branded search for your company. It allows potential customers to quickly find important business information, like your address, opening hours, images, telephone number, and customer reviews. It is not a website, but rather a listing that includes all of your information in one place.

Update Your Profile from Google Maps & Google Search

In August 2020, the Google My Business Product Lead, Tom Pritchard, announced Google has taken steps to make it easier for businesses to update their Business Profile directly from Google products. In the announcement, Pritchard wrote, “Now you can create posts, reply to reviews, add photos, and update business information right from Google Search and Maps.”

Gain Performance Insights & Improve Your Online Presence

In the announcement, Google additionally noted the rollout of new free tools on Google Search and Google Maps, aimed at providing businesses with performance insights and recommendations. The user interface is also being revamped, and will feature refreshed metrics that share helpful business data on a monthly basis.

The rollout of new features and ease-of-use will allow business to more easily connect with customers, and monitor online presence and performance – elements that businesses can advantage of.
